Description

This project is focusing on the essential operations of the ICRAF-CIFOR Tree Genetic Resources Unit (GRU) that is seed conservation, characterization, distribution, and data management aspects of the seed gene bank. During this time, a long-term strategy for the GRU’s work is developed, and fundraising is carried out, with the objective of in due course putting in place a Long-term Partnership Agreement between the Crop Trust and ICRAF-CIFOR to guarantee in-perpetuity support for specified ex situ tree diversity conservation activities from the Crop Trust endowment fund.
