Keeping traditional knowledge alive for future generations

Biodiversity is crucial to human life, offering benefits across cultural, social, economic, and environmental dimensions, including essential food sources and medicine. As humans adapt to environmental changes, they develop local knowledge, traditional institutions, and belief systems to protect natural resources for future generations. However, there are growing concerns among elders and customary leaders that traditional knowledge is fading, especially among younger generations. This video shares some examples of the traditional knowledge, and the attempt to pass the knowledge and values across generations through integration into school curricula and awareness programme.
