Alain Calice Tsobeng was born on 5 April 1971 in Dschang, Cameroon. His first language is French while his work language is English. He is married with 5 children. He has an MSc in plant biotechnology and works for CIFOR-ICRAF, after joining in 2018 as a student and then in 2003 became a staff member. He has travelled to more than 15 countries to learn and to reinforce the capacity of others on this aspect. He has more than 60 publications on TGR and trained more than 17 MSc students in research approaches and TGRs. He is now based in Republic of the Congo, and reports to Ann Degrande in theCameroon office. Here in Congo, I represent CIFOR-ICRAF in the project Relaunching Cocoa Sector in Republic of the Congo (PARSA). Project staff are implementing innovations to sustain cocoa production systems (with environment conservation). Alain is the focal point of TGRs in CIFOR-ICRAF Cameroon.
